HOW WE WORK
Different materials need different tools.
Tough plastic brushes take the dirt off soles and rubber. Soft-hair brushes lift it out of suede and mesh without flattening the nap. We work through a pair material by material rather than all at once; which is why REFRESH takes longer than REFRESH Lite, and why it gets further into textured uppers.
Colour and texture come back because the dirt comes out of the material, not just off the surface of it.

Some marks don't come out. We'll always tell you which.
Deep cleaning reaches much further into suede, mesh and canvas. But weather damage, dye transfer and long-set staining can be permanent. We'll tell you honestly what we expect to achieve.
Questions about REFRESH
Will the suede be damaged
No. Suede and nubuck are cleaned with soft-hair brushes and material-appropriate products, then the nap is lifted back up as it dries. If a pair is fragile enough that we'd rather not risk it, we'll tell you before we start and recommend REFRESH Plus instead.
Can you get the smell out?
Odour treatment is included in REFRESH. It works on most pairs. Where a smell has gone deep into foam midsoles it can fade rather than disappear entirely; we'll tell you honestly what we managed.
My pair is mesh and canvas. Is that Lite or REFRESH
If it's light surface dirt, Lite will handle it. If the dirt is in the weave, or the pair has been wet, choose REFRESH. That's what the material-specific stage is for.
